We now know the players in the running for the top college football award this year.
The Heisman Trust announced Baker Mayfield, Lamar Jackson, and Bryce Love will attend the Heisman Trophy ceremony in New York. The winner, of course, will walk away with the honor of best college football player in the 2017 season.
Congrats to our 2017 #Heisman finalists: @Lj_era8 of @UofLFootball, @Blovee_20 of @StanfordFball & @baker_mayfield6 of @OU_Football. See you in New York, gentlemen! #Heisman2017 #HeismanWeek #MostPrestigiousAwardInSports pic.twitter.com/8YGXj3xMME

Jackson hopes to win for the second year in the row, but Mayfield is the heavy favorite. Love had a spectacular year, but he sits as the long shot.
Mayfield will probably win the award, which may anger those who are unhappy with his actions. However, he deserves to win after the year he had.
