A lesson as old as time itself: don’t throw pitches near another player’s head. Well sometimes it happens, and on Wednesday afternoon Luis Perdomo (Padres) would get a little too close to Nolan Arenado. A ‘brawl‘ would follow, of course.

Not only does Perdomo then chuck his glove at Arenado, he retreats in a hurry. Not to mention, dodges the third baseman’s attempt at a right hook. Meanwhile five players would get themselves ejected, including Perdomo and Arenado. But soon after, the Rockies would storm out to a 5-0 lead.
We don’t know if the pitch was intentional. However, we do know enough to say that you shouldn’t ever be throwing near a player’s head. In the meantime, let’s wait and see how long these suspensions are.
