Wednesday night, the Boston Celtics would not fully recover from their rough start. Wednesday night, the 16-game winning streak would end. But there remains plenty to build on, says Al Horford.
“It’s tough, but I’m proud of this group. We put ourselves in position to win a game there, and we didn’t make the plays down the stretch. We have to learn from that.”
Head coach Brad Stevens had his own thoughts as well. Mainly this—the Celtics have plenty of room for improvement.
“When we’re locked in and we’re executing, we’re pretty good. However, we go through too many lulls when we’re not.”
Boston takes on the Orland Magic Friday night. Orlando, who surprised many this season by jumping out to an 8-4 start, have lost six in a row. But for Brad Stevens and his team, that reset could be just what the doctor ordered.
