The Phoenix Suns own the No. 1 overall pick in next month’s NBA Draft. And while some reports are linking them to Luka Dončić, they may have to wait. After all, Dončić isn’t even sure he’s coming to the NBA next season. Speaking to Alex Madrid of eurohoops.net, Dončić says:
“Ι’m not sure if these are the last two games [in EuroLeague]. We have yet to make this decision. Perhaps after the season.”
But regardless of where he plays, Dončić just wants to enjoy himself. And right now, his only focus is on helping his team win the EuroLeague title.
“It’s difficult. But in the end you are on the court and when want to enjoy the game. When you are on the floor you want to enjoy yourself. It’s special. It’s a great goal being here and being here it’s a good feeling because it means we have done good work. We should enjoy it now. It’s this time.”
In the meantime, the Suns might have to ‘settle’ for DeAndre Ayton out of Arizona. We’ll see what Luka ultimately decides.
