The Cleveland Cavaliers are not the same team we saw a couple of weeks ago. Kevin Loves knows that. But Love is also confident that he’s going to fit right in.
“We have a lot of selfless guys added, young guys who are playing extremely hard. I think you’ve seen that in the last two games in wins over Boston and OKC. So we just continue to keep playing hard.”
But he doesn’t stop there. Love knows it will take time, but he’s confident in himself. And that’s all you can be.
“I’ll fit in when I come back – and hopefully I’ll have enough games to get my legs beneath me and get my rhythm back.”
On the season, the Cavaliers are 34-22. They enter the All-Star break on a four-game winning streak. But that’s not all. Suddenly, the Cavaliers are just 4.5 games back of the Boston Celtics for second out east. They are hitting their stride at the right time. Admittedly, Love isn’t having his finest season. He’s averaging 17.9 points and 9.4 rebounds per game. A solid stat line, of course, but down from a season ago.
But Love has plenty to look forward to upon his return. All of the Cavaliers do.
