Kyrie Irving is still experiencing knee issues. And while Danny Ainge says he probably needs surgery in the future, Irving is seeking another opinion.
My understanding is that Kyrie Irving is getting a 2nd opinion on his left knee, perhaps as soon as tomorrow. Bottom line: he needs the screws out. Knee is flaring up. He will either play thru it going forward or … he will get thee screws out and won't play at all. Stay tuned.

“He has some surgery that may need to happen. But maybe not this summer, maybe the following summer, or maybe the summer after that. I think that he could probably do it any time he wanted, but Iam not sure that itas needed at this moment.”
But now it might happen sooner than expected. Right now, the Celtics are five games out of first in the Eastern Conference. Gordon Hayward is out; Marcus Smart is out. And now Irving? It’s not looking good for the Celtics.
In his first season with the Celtics, Kyrie is averaging 24.4 points, 5.1 assists and 1.1 steals. Despite their hot start, though, Boston is fading down the stretch. Obviously injuries have plenty to do with it. But can they get it together in time?
