Imagine getting thrown out of a professional basketball game. Couldn’t be LeBron James, right? Well, not until Tuesday night. With his team up big, no less.
With 1:59 remaining in the third quarter, and Cleveland leading the Miami Heat 93-70, LeBron would be tossed. Not only that, but it’s the first time ever—in 1,082 career games—that this has happened. On the night, James would finish with 21 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals.
But, what did he think about the ejection?
“It is what it is. We got the win, and that’s what’s most important.”
After a rough start to the season—5-7 at one point—the Cavs are now 14-7. And, of course, winners of nine straight. It appears they have figured out whatever it was that had been plaguing them.
But, will it be enough to topple the Boston Celtics when the time comes? We will see. In the meantime, don’t cross the king. Up next for the Cavaliers? The 4-16 Atlanta Hawks.
Can you say ’10 in a row’?
