Hassan Whiteside is having a nightmare of a series against the Philadelphia 76ers. But the Miami Heat center appears intent on playing himself out of a job. After criticizing the organization over his minutes restriction just a few weeks ago paroxetine no rx, purchase dapoxetine. , he’s calling out coach Erik Spoelstra now. Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald has the following:
“It’s just different, man. I feel like our offense is a lot different. I’m not as involved in as many dribble handoffs as I was and postups as I was in the regular season. That’s what coach wants. Coach wants me to just beAin the corner and set picks. That’s what he wants. I’ve just got toAtrust it.”
But Whiteside doesn’t stop there, noting how the Sixers use Embiid in their offense.
“They run enough plays for him that he’s going to get his numbers. I don’t really get caught up in that. He lives a big man’s dream. He gets the ball, he gets the post up every other play. They pretty much run a lot of stuff through him and Ben Simmons. His shot attempts are going to be there.”
Seems like Whiteside sure would love those opportunities. But here’s the thing: the center doesn’t appear to be trying at all this series. He is a liability on both ends of the court, for starters. And through three games, he has just 11 points while logging only 38 minutes. Why should Spoelstra play him if he’s not showing up?
Meanwhile, Game 4 tips off Saturday afternoon in Miami. But do you think Whiteside will see more action?
At this point, it seems unlikely.
