The Golden State Warriors are set to be without their star point guard again. At least for tonight. During Wednesday morning’s shootaround, Steph Curry would re-sprain his ankle. It’s an injury that has already cost him 11 games. But in his five games since returning, Curry was on fireaaveraging 35.2 points on 57.4 percent shooting. From long-range, he was hitting 53.2 percent.
Moreover, the Warriors would go 5-0 during that stretch. On the season, the Warriors are 33-8. They have as many wins as the Boston Celtics out east, but with two fewer losses. They are 8-2 over their previous 10. Plus, they are suddenly four games up on the Houston Rockets. Everything is going so well.
But now they’re without Curry once again. At least Kevin Durant returns after missing the previous three games with a calf injury, right? In the meantime, let’s hope for a speedy recovery. The game is much, much worse off without him.
