The Washington Wizards are 13-11. And, are currently holding down the seventh spot in the Eastern Conference. But one night after suffering a 47-point loss against the Jazz, Bradley Beal would come to play.
And in doing so, would provide a career night.
Not only did the Wizards defeat Portland 106-92 Tuesday night, but Beal dropped 51 points on 21-37 shooting. That’s good for roughly 57 percent.
Plus, this was a contest the Wizards sorely needed. There was already the embarrassing defeat against the Jazz, of course. But the Wizards are only 4-6 in their previous 10. They are not currently having the season many are expecting them to.
Of course, John Wall’s injury isn’t helping. But if Beal can put up similar performances to this one until he returns, the Wizards might be alright.
