Lane Johnson is sick and tired of the New England Patriots. And he’s just going to keep telling us this. In fact, he would open up even more with Steve Austin on his podcast. But why this time? Well, because Johnson just wants to.
“Here’s what pissed me off,” Johnson begins. “The Patriots, obviously, I respect their coach, I respect Bill [Belichick], I respect Tom Brady, but just because the way that they won the Super Bowls, the Patriot Way, is that how everybody else is supposed to do the same thing? No, it’s not. And that’s what I got mad at, the arrogance by them.”
However, he doesn’t stop there.
“There was obviously some stuff behind closed doors. Their owner talking s— to our owner. Bill talking s— to our head coach [Doug Pederson] before the game. I’m not going to say it, but a lot of s— kind built up to that, and I just got tired of hearing about it, man, to be honest.”
Alright then. Johnson, of course, is coming off a Super Bowl championship with the Eagles. He would even call the Patriots a “fear-based organization” following the Super Bow. He just doesn’t hold back. Maybe he needs that edge, we don’t know. He also labels New England players as robots.
“That’s the thing, you’re never going to know… Like I said, they’re robots.”
Bring on the 2018 regular season.
