C.J. Anderson’s time in Denver appears to be up. After five seasons, reports indicate the Broncos are releasing the Pro Bowl running back.
While Anderson’s numbers don’t necessarily light up a page, he’s 27 years old and just coming off averaging 4.1 YPC last season. Can Denver really not get anything for C.J. Of course, it might signal a bigger move to come. After all, the NFL Draft is right around the corner. And by signing Case Keenum to play quarterback, that frees them up to focus on a running back if they so choose.
In the meantime, there should be teams interested in Anderson’s ability. Again, he is just 27 years old. And he’s averaging 4.4 YPC over the course of his career (693 rushes). Plus his cap hit would’ve been $4.5 million this season, according to Spotrac. But that’s how this game works, right?
Going forward, where is a good landing spot for Anderson?
