It’s time to get excited about the NFL again, football fans. But before we get into anything too serious, we’re going to take the time to rank some coaches. We all know how good Bill Belichick has been in New England, but is he the greatest of all-time? It’s time to rank the five best coaches in NFL history…
5. Curly Lambeau
Lambeau was the second-best coach in the history of the Packers franchise — right behind the man who’s number one on this list. Lambeau’s 226 regular season wins is fifth all-time, and he’s tied with George Halas for most championship wins with six. What keeps Lambeau from being higher on this list is, despite winning three consecutive titles, there wasn’t a postseason in the NFL until 1933.
In the end, though, being the leader of a team that won three straight championships — and being one of only two coaches to do so — puts him squarely on this list.
