The Jacksonville Jaguars have the second-best defense in the NFL. Both in total yards and points allowed, they rank No. 2. And Sunday afternoon, the Jaguars take on the Pittsburgh Steelersawho rank third in total yards and eighth in points. But, they may have to go against Jacksonville without wideout Antonio Brown. But not because of his injury.
Instead, Brown is dealing with illness.
“Antonio BrownAwas sent home from practice Friday due to an illness, butAPittsburgh SteelersAhead coach Mike Tomlin said he is still confident of the star receiver playing in Sunday’s divisional-round game against theAJacksonville Jaguars, according toAESPN’s Dan Graziano.”
Even if he is healthy enough to participate Sunday, this doesn’t bode well for the Steelers. Back in Week 5, the Jaguars erupted for a 30-9 win. After that, though, Pittsburgh would go on a tear. However, during that off game, Brown would be one of Pittsburgh’s more productive players that weekacatching 10 passes for 157 yards. He needs to be able to play on Sunday.
Jacksonville’s defense has been slipping in recent weeks. But there’s no denying they deserve to be here. And if Brown is out? All the better.
That said, let’s all count on AB playing. After all, it’s the postseason.
