Borussia Dortmund didn’t just lose 2-0 to Schalke yesterday. In fact, it appears as though they have lost striker MichyABatshuayi for the remainder of the season. This morning, the on-loan striker would tweet the following:
“Well its not good news for now, my season is probably over, and i wont be able to pay @BVB back for their confidence … Thank you all the amazing amount of love I received since yesterday. Wishing my teammates the best for the final days. See you soon.” periactin without prescription, buy lioresal online.
No injuries are good injuries, and there’s never a good time for them. But there’s arguably a bad time for them, and this is the worst possible outcome for both Dortmund and Batshuayi. For starters, Dortmund have just four matches left to save their Champions League hopes for next season. As it stands, they are four points (and plus-13 goals) up on RB Leipzig. But losing Batshuayi puts a dent in their final four games. After all, Bats has nine goals and one assist in just 14 appearances for Dortmund.
But it doesn’t end there.
For Batshuayi, there’s nothing good about the time of this injury. He needed to go on loan to get some match time with the World Cup coming up in summer. Not only was he getting match time, but he was making it count. Obviously Romelu Lukaku is the starting No. 9 for Belgium, but Bats could’ve been a lock to back him up.
And while Belgium has plenty of firepower with or without Batshuayi, there’s no overstating a spot on the World Cup squad means to a footballer.
