UFC superstar Ronda Rousey is coming back. Well, sort of.
While her days in the UFC ended on a sour note, it appears the former bantamweight champion is going to be just fine. That’s because she’s nearing a deal with sports entertainment company WWE.
And if her contract is in any way similar to Brock Lesnar’s reported deal from June, she doesn’t have to worry about a thing. If you recall, she did make an appearance at WWE’s WrestleMania with The Rock in 2015.
Rousey, of course, is famous for her MMA career and judo skills. After all, she is a decorated judo champion. And, her MMA career would begin with 12 straight victories. Of those 12 bouts, none of them would go the distance. She would finish nine of them via submission.
She became known for her quick finishes, but on November 15, 2015, everything changed. Holly Holm would defeat the then-champion with ease, leading to Rousey taking longer than a year away from the sport. Upon her return on December 30, 2016, champion Amanda Nunes made even quicker work of her—48 seconds.
Just like that, ‘Rowdy’ was all but done in the UFC. And now, when it comes to her career, she’s all but officially moving on.
